Abstract

This academic research, entitled "Energy Security and Geopolitics: The Role of China and India in International Energy Relations", analyzes the impact of the energy policies of two major powers in Asia - China and India - on international politics. The increasing energy needs of these two countries and the strategies they adopt to meet these needs are shaping and changing the global dynamics of energy flow and international energy relations at both regional and global levels, and are main issues examined in this study. The foundation of this analysis is whether the energy security strategies of China and India trigger competition between these two countries and what the geopolitical consequences are. In line with this, both countries have entered into a race for energy resources in recent years, creating worry and distress, and even increasing potential conflict risks. Furthermore, among the fundamental problems framing this analysis are; how the strategies these two states adopt to access energy resources affect their relations with other states and the economic, political, and environmental impacts of these strategies are also discussed. The academic research also highlights the growing importance of China and India as strong and decisive energy players. Particularly in the context of energy security and geopolitics, the behaviors and policies of these two countries could greatly impact and shape the future of international relations.
